165 cats are getting evicted.

Blessing Home was started in 2005, by a passionate cat lover named Phyllis. Her aim was to shelter cats that were abandoned or threatened by culling programmes.

Phyllis currently runs the shelter out of an old rented house that houses about 165 cats. Due to unavoidable circumstances, Blessing Home has been forced to move by February 2012. (Phyllis is still looking for a new place that can house 150 cats and 4 humans. If you know of any places available, please let us know.)

To facilitate their relocation and to avoid putting down or releasing the cats, Blessing Home will be having an adoption drive. We are simply a group of friends who are trying to assist her by cat-a-loguing all of her cats to facilitate the adoption process.

With the limited amount of time that we had, we were only able to cat-a-log about half the cats at Blessing Home.

Each cat at Blessing Home has been lovingly cared for by Phyllis and her helpers. All cats have been sterilised and vaccinated.

Please note that:

• There are no kittens for adoption.
• Potential adopters will be interviewed to assess their suitability, and acceptance is strictly at the Blessing Home's interviewer’s discretion.
• A small fee is payable upon acceptance, to cover the costs incurred for the cat’s sterilisation and vaccinations.
